Creating a brand presence for Samaritans to raise over £30,000

Cambridge Samaritans was selected as the charity partner for Cambridge Beer festival which runs for 6 days providing a high-profile local event that attracts thousands of visitors, and it represents a substantial fundraising and awareness opportunity.

The team needed a highly visible brand presence, both centrally within one of the on-site tents but also for volunteers out and about at the festival to encourage people to donate their glasses to help raise valuable funds.

The JD team met with Cambridge Samaritans and came up with a full solution to help promote awareness and encourage glass donation to help raise valuable funds.  

Solution

The JD solution consisted of design and production of:

  • A fabric backwall to high visibility in the tent and a central focal point for the brand.

  • High visibility speech bubble signs for volunteers to hold up above the crowds to promote the glass donations

  • A bespoke visitor engagement standee for visitors to interact asking ‘what gets you talking’

  • Selfie board &bespoke glass shaped prop for visitor photos

  • Various posters proving information about Samaritans and the glass donation.

Result

Cambridge Samaritans raised £32520 over the festival through glass donations.
